Head of AI

I am a Head of AI. I design and run production systems: retrieval, extraction, agents, and evaluation. I also consult for teams that need the same kind of work and do not have someone senior to own it.

Previously I built language-model services on AWS, graph-backed retrieval, streaming data pipelines, and agents on Kubernetes. Earlier work includes medical imaging, object detection, and training and deployment pipelines on SageMaker.

I studied computer science (machine learning) and mathematics (data analytics) at the University of Queensland. Most of the useful work, in my experience, is not the model. It is the data path, the API, the evaluation, and whether someone can still operate the system six months later.

Consulting stays narrow: one workflow, in your repository, with a written price. If a language model is the wrong tool, I will say so. Sometimes the right answer is a classifier, a forecast, or ordinary software.
